Location: Macau
If you are sick of travelling with in your own country visiting one must explore new centers of excellence and modern day attractions. One of such place is Macau. We have recently been to this place and are glad to say that we found it our delight.
If you are travelling to Hong Kong and applied for Visa then you are easily granted permission to visit Macau at the Ferry Terminal or Airport.
After landing at the Airport of Hong Kong you are directed by well illuminated signage to pass through the long corridor to a waiting lounge in a Metro station. From that Metro station you are taken to the departure lounge of the Ferry. From there you take almost 45 minutes of Ferry journey to reach Macau. On your way you see wonderful structures and sights of modern era Hong Kong.
Macau (literally: "Bay Gate"), also spelled Macao, officially the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China, is an autonomous territory on the western side of the Pearl River Delta in East Asia. Macau is bordered by the city of Zhuhai in Mainland China to the north and the Pearl River Estuary to the east and south. Hong Konglies about 64 kilometres to its east across the Delta. With a population of 650,900 living in an area of 30.5 km2, it is the most densely populated region in the world.
Macau was administered by the Portuguese Empire and its inheritor states from the mid-16th century until late 1999, when it constituted the last remaining European colony in Asia. Portuguese traders first settled in Macau in the 1550s. In 1557, Macau was leased to Portugal from Ming China as a trading port. The Portuguese Empire administered the city under Chinese authority and sovereignty until 1887, when Macau, through a mutual agreement between the two countries, became a colony. Sovereignty over Macau was transferred back to China on 20 December 1999. The Joint Declaration on the Question of Macau and Macau Basic Law stipulate that Macau operate with a high degree of autonomy until at least 2049, fifty years after the transfer.
Under the policy of "one country, two systems", the State Council of the People's Republic of China is responsible for military defense and foreign affairs while Macau maintains its own legal system, public security force, monetary system, customs policy, and immigration policy.
Macau is a resort city in Southern China, known for its casinos and luxury hotels. Its gaming revenue has been the world's largest since 2006, with the economy heavily dependent on gaming and tourism.
If you like intercontinental food and especially the Chinese dishes you will love this place. But for a normal Indian it’s not the right place more so for a strictly vegetarian visitor. It is widely known as the pre-eminent gambling (or gaming) capital of the world, greatly dwarfing other gambling centers/cities.
Here we will see lots of action as it is the most happening place in the eastern part of the globe.

Count Down: Day 07
Haldwani (Uttrakhand)
Haldwani is a upcoming city, which along with its twin townships of Kathgodam and Haldwani. Haldwani-Kathgodam Municial Corporation (since May 2011) in Nanital District in the Indian State of Uttarakhnad
Haldwani is the third most populous city in Uttarakhand (after Dehradun & Haridwar), and is known as the "Gateway of Kumaon". In Kumaoni, the local dialect, the place is called "Halduvani", literally it means"forest of Haldu", after the tree named "Haldu" often referred to as "Kadamb" (Haldina cordifolia), which was found in abundance prior to deforestation for agriculture and settlement.
In 1816, after the British defeated Gorkhas, Gardner was appointed the Commissioner of Kumaon. Later George William Trail took over as Commissioner and renamed Halduvani as Haldwani in 1834 though British records suggest that the place was established in 1834, as a mart for hill people who visited the Bhabhar (Himalayan foothills) region, during the cold season.
It's a wonderful place to settle in the nearness of mighty Himalayas and you hv best of the two World. You are in the Hills amidst whistling pine trees and you are little away from the greenery of paddy fields.
Few of my friends have settled there after retirement and prominent being Mr. Pratap Singh, who joined initially ITI Raebareli and later became Unit Head at ITI Naini, Allhabad Plant. I am having sweet memories of my close association with Mr. Pratap Singh as he was to offer Cross Bar equipment after completing testing and I was responsible for Quality Assurance as head of QA and responsible to get is passed from our customer’s inspecting cell headed by one Mr. R.B.Singh, father in law of our another friend from Mankapur Mr. Arun Kumar Singh, who is presently heading P&A at ITI Naini Unit.
Our story will move to Haldwani after initial action filled drama at Macau and Hong Kong.

Bishts of Ramnagar Estate:
A family Royal in nature, its family Chief Mr. Aanat Bhahadur Singh Bisht, his wife Sharmishtha Singh Bisht used to live in a palatial house at the foot hills of Himalayas close to Haldwani Town with their daughter in law Aanya(from St. Peters Burg), son Pushp Raj Singh Bisht and four years old granddaughter Tanya.
Bishsts were originally from Kausauni(Switzerland of India) in Bageshwar District of Kumaon region of Uttrakhand popularly known in Indians as UK but their forefathers purchased swathe at the foothills of Himalayas. When industry moved in they sold little bit of their landmass to construct a modern Hilly Villa fully furnished with a attached Annexe for guests. However, they retained their ancestral property at Kausani and converted into a luxury hotel.
The site of new Villa was so chosen that it was at the banks of a hilly river in which water flowed throughout the year. But it used to swell like anything in the rainy season. Some times this hilly river used to become so dangerous that it would just touch the basement of the Annexe building.
Just across the hilly river stands great Himalaya with full of greenery and thick forest. Thick forest was home to many a jungle animals and birds.
Amidst such a scenic beauty who would not like to live and spend rest of his life.

Eva Williams, 25 years, 5’ and 8" tall, blue eyed with blonde hairs, lovely looks blessed with what is described as the perfect face, matches an international blueprint for the optimum ratio between eyes, mouth, forehead and chin, endowing her with flawless proportions and a attractive body with rich assets was the second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Williams, born and brought up in an aristocrat family of Edinburgh, UK.
After having completed her post graduation and MBA in Business Administration, she joined a multinational company and earned much more than what she needed to live.
Disgusted with her present life, she was keen to do something different as she knew well that different people do different things; but a few attempts to do those things differently.
She is now one of the most active and attractive member of the group known as "Hi! Buddies"
Join her on 11th July, 2017 on a long journey.

Roper Evans, 26 years, 5’ and 9’’ tall, with naturally grown mustache and beard and brownish eyes, was the only son of a rich family, whose many members had the unique distinction of having served British Indian Forces and Corporate Houses. Roper’s father Mr. Brown Evans was at one time the Chief Executive Officer of English Electric Co. of India Ltd. for many years. Mr. Brown’s three uncles laid their lives during mutiny of 1857 and were buried in various parts of North India. He was keen to be back in India and explore about his family linkages.
He is now one of the most active members of the group known as “Hi! Buddies”

Smith Taylor, 30 years, 5’and 6” tall, black eyes with clean shaved head, was the third son of Taylors. Born and brought up in Liverpool under deep influence of the Beatles's He was great music lover, who played guitar to the likes of large crowds all over the world. He loved attractive female faces and had no particular choice of white color. Had many girl friends in Rio, Mexico and Los Angeles, USA.
He is now one of the most active members of the group known as “Hi! Buddies”
Count Down: Day 01
Roper Evans met Mr. Pushp Raj Singh Bisht in Edinburgh in a restaurant to discuss with him his plan to visit India. Pushp invited Roper and his friends to come to Haldwani during the beginning of the coming winters.
Roper said, "He will join them at Macau becoz function in the family"
Rest three of them traveled to Hong Kong by a British Airways fight. After spending two weeks on the trip to Hong Kong and Macau they decided to move to India.
Friends you have had a brief intro of main cast. Small characters will keep coming and going but they may also perform some acts which will be to your likes, I hope.
Now you see them in action from tomorrow on Facebook on “Thalue” everyday till the completion of the story.

कुछ अपने मन की बात (Monkey Bat)
आज 'Hi! Buddies' के प्रोमो ख़त्म हुए। कल से मार काट, उछल कूद, खाना पीना, इश्क़ मुश्क़ की बातें और भी न जाने क्या कुछ नहीं।
Basically, if you recall on promo's also, I talked about locations and cast which is very much part of the main story as I didn't want to interrupt my readers in between to tell them about locations and cast.
So it's going to be action only.
Secondly, I believe doing things in style. So I chose this path. You should look different not only in your thinking but in actions as well.

Hi! Buddies.
Episode 1
British Airways flight No. BA 31 touched down Hong Kong airport runway to a perfect landing. No sooner plane was attached to aerobridge "Hi! Buddied" trio Eva, Olivia and Smith collected their baggage and moved towards Macau Ferry departure lounge. They had booked for 3.30 PM ferry. A 40 KM ride in the ferry was indeed enjoyable during this part of the year, that’s the month November.
Roper Evans was to join them a few days later after celebrating his father’s birthday.
By the time they checked in Venetian, it was pretty late in the evening. At the reception itself Smith collected all the details of the Casino they were to spend their tonight.
Smith reached Casino earlier than Eva and Olivia. He met the manager of the casino to find out the fairness of the game. He was assured that in Macau rules are very tough and cheating is out of question.
Soon Eva and Olivia also joined him. Casino was full with Chinese and a few Hong Kongninas old timer white people. They decided to engage on different tables.
Eva made some money whereas Olivia lost heavily. Smith was a big guy and known years of tricks deployed to make some quick money. In between them they made huge fortunes.
They were returning to late in the night to their rooms. On their way, Smith apparently in good mood asked Eva and Olivia to accompany him for a drink. Eva while settling on a couch took some whisky, Olivia gently declined the drink. Smith said, “Olivia please, do not feel bad. It wasn’t your day”
Olivia replied, “I know. I am happy that both of you made lots of money”
“Yeah” said Eva, “But don’t worry. As decided it is going to the pool”
“That’s right” said Olivia, “I think Smith was right asking us to play at different tables”
“Oh yes. His strategy worked” Eva was quick to add.
Smith, who was indeed very happy and thinking of Evans, said, “Let Evans be there, we will have good times. He is an expert. He is much better than me”
“He should be there in two-there" said Olivia.
“He is well versed with Casinos and played a lot” said Smith, “Once he is here we are a strong group. I am sure we will return home with our pockets full”
“You mean we will not be required to do anything for some time” asked Olivia.
“Yes my dear” replied Smith and continued to suggest, “We will travel to a nice destination to bask in the sun and tan our bodies”
Eva said with joy in her eyes, “That’s what I smelt for some time”

"Hi! Buddies"
Episode 3
Coming out of Venetian Resort, Eva waved her hand for a cab. Soon a taxi pulled up under the front canopy of the famous and one of the best of the world integrated Mall of Macau. Cab driver opened the door for the two ladies. He soon drove towards old town the moment they settled at the rear seat.
Olivia told, "Eva you look stunning in white pairs'
"Olivia, you are a head-turner in that striped summer beach dress"
"Whom did you notice turning his had to get my glimpse?'
"Surprisingly, it's not males. They all were young girls. Looks like they envied you" replied Olivia.
"Why the hell they should envy me" asked Eva.
"Becoz of your loving assets"
"No. Hope you are kidding” said and Eva gave that notorious looks.
Olivia said, "Look Eva surprisingly these young Chinese girls though look pretty in those bewitching eyes but practically don't attract males as we Europeans do"
Clarifying Eva mentioned, "But one Chinese girl met me some time back did mention that they arouse men through their sexy long legs"
"That's new breed of Chinese. Old ones don't seem to have that attraction"
Eva confidently replied, "That's hundred percent true. I noticed that feature in girls at immigration counter in Hong Kong and Macau"
Passing through well carpeted roads, Cab was heading for the old down town. Today, Eva and Olivia had no particular programme except to explore historical linkages of Macau with Portugal so they asked the cab driver to take them to all important spots.
On the way one could see the massive investment that has been made in creating real world class infrastructure of a modern entertainment city, which off late has become most attractive tourist destination of East.
"Oh! My God what a beauty to see those long rope bridges over the sea while driving to the down town of Macau", said Olivia to Eva.
Eva replied, "Looks like China has invested in this island heavily to make it a one of the major tourists attractive destinations"
The center of Macau is a World Heritage Site teaming with churches, temples and forts, nearly all of which have no entrance fee.
At the ruins of St Paul’s only the facade remains of what was once a spectacular Jesuit cathedral. The rest was destroyed by fire, but today it’s still possible to climb up and see the ruins from close quarters. A visit is a must of the Museum of Sacred Art and crypt to the rear of the site. Other free attractions include the pavilions at A-Ma Temple, the Guia Fort with its fancy frescoes and the neoclassical buildings around Senado Square.
By 4.00 in the afternoon, it was all over. Eva and Olivia returned to their hotel. In the room, they ordered fish fingers and prawns snacks and chilled beer. Thereafter, they decided to get into their beds to take a small nap. They knew pretty well that tonight will be long one for them as Smith will surely try his luck to make some quick bucks at the casino.
When these two young ladies were out, Smith went out in the Venetian Mall to spend some time. It was interesting for him to go round through the lanes of multi branded stores. When he was looking at few new arrivals in a shop, he spotted a good looking, long and thin legged in blue denim shorts so that one could see her navel clearly and short sleeveless white shirt exposing bra straps on her shoulder Chinese blonde. Smooth using his skills. Soon he became friendly with her. He took her to a nearby café and had long conversation. He gathered almost all details about that girl like her name Ai Chen, mobile number, flat details where she lived alone.
At the end of long conversation at the café, he took liberty and pulled her close for a long passionate kiss. Immediately, thereafter, he held her hand and guided her to his hotel room.

Episode 4
Late in the evening around 6.00 Olivia contacted Eva and asked, “Did Smith contact you?”
“No”
“Where is he? Hope he is ok” said Eva.
“Come on we will check him in his room”
“Coming” said Eva.
When they arrived at the hotel room of Smith to their surprise they found tag at the door handle ‘Do not disturb’, confused these two weren't sure what to do? Quickly they decided to return to their rooms. Between them they decided without Smith they won’t visit casino tonight. So they decided to get ready to go out to City of Dreams resort.
They arrived around City of Dreams at 7.45 to witness the Franco Dragon Entertainment Group’s the world’s largest water extravaganza ‘ The House of Dancing Water’ housed in a purpose-built theater designed with many breakthroughs including a stage pool that holds a record breaking 3.7 million gallons of water, equivalent to 5 Olympic-sized swimming pools. This State-Of-The-Art theater provided the setting for an epic love story and spectacular journey through time, showcasing dazzling costumes, special effects and record breaking acts.
Eva politely replied, “We did check your room and dismayed to find “Do not Disturb’ tag on the door handle of your room”
“Oh yes I put up that and will let you know why? But tell me are you going to come with me for casino?”
Eva looked at Olivia and gently said, “If you wish you carry on, we aren’t coming. We will go out to dine and later return to bed to sleep early as we had a tiring day out visiting down town”
“Okay I will see you then tomorrow at breakfast table”
“Sure at 9.00 sharp” replied Eva and hanged up.

Episode 5
Smith along with Ai Chen were waiting in the Dining Hall when Eva and Olivia arrived. Looking at Eva and Olivia both Smith said, “Hi! Buddies”

Episode 6
Not too keen but for the sake of decency and being British, Eva and Olivia didn’t want to respond differently finally said, “Yes, let’s go”
They walked down the aisle of hotel to reach their rooms. Reminding Olivia Eva said, “Well Olivia when we left London, we had planned to spend some time on the beach”
“So what’s up in your mind” asked Eva
Olivia replied, “If you agree let’s spend some time in the early hours of day at the beach. In the evening we should go to meet friend of Miss Chen. What do you say Chen is it OK?”
Chen said, “That’s fine with me. I don’t have my swim wear. Need not worry? There’s an outlet in this complex. I will buy a new one”
As they were moving towards the porch, Chen stopped at a shop to buy a two piece bikini to suit her size.
Smith asked, “Which beach we are going?”
Chen replied, “There are two beaches on Macau's Coloane island: Hac Sa and Cheoc Van. Of the two places, I prefer the smaller Cheoc Van, which has nicer sand with some shaded trees, good bars and a couple of nice restaurants at either end”
Eva said, “Then let’s go to Checo Van”
They reached the beach, air was thin, cool but not so cool breeze was blowing, water temperature was good for fun, sun was bright all of them went for swimming and watering themselves in the sea.
After some time Eva was the first one to come and bask. Olivia followed her. They decided to bask in the sun. Lying down Olivia said, “Look Chen is in good shape. Look attractive. I am sure Smith had enjoyed good times with her”
“Oh yes but again conforming to the Chinese standards for girls” replied Eva.
“I’m sure you don’t envy her”
“Why the hell I should envy her? I’m not the mistress of Smith or never shared bed with him” replied Eva.
Olivia was quick to respond, “Don’t mistake me, I always felt that you were eying him”
“Never, if I ever intended that way then who is there to stop me?” replied Eva.
“But Smith always kept his hawk eye on you”
“That way I know I become a loving girl becoz I am proud of my assets. I get male attention to what I’m entitled. Frankly I don’t like sex and mixing that way. I have my own fantasy for sex and will go full hog unstoppable once I’m stuck with my prince charming” Eva was candid enough in giving her response to Olivia.
“Eva I must say he is my dream boy. He does not look at me. I don’t know what his problem is?”
As Olivia looked at the sky Eva said, “Olivia believe me, when a man ignores you it means he loves you deep inside but he doesn't open up as his ego comes his way. Don't worry he will open up one day. I shall make it happen. I will see to it that he changes his attitude towards you. As a friend, I feel it’s my job”
Olivia expectantly said, “He is expected tonight”
“Yaa, Yaa I know"
“But tonight Chen is taking us out to meet her friends” Olivia said this little disappointed.
“I know” said Eva, "Have faith in me"

Episode 7
Roper Evans arrived well in time to go with Chen to meet her friend who played music at International events in Hong Kong and Macau. Chen introduced Smith and his friends to Julio and Dino and told about them that Julio and Dino Acconci were born in Macau to an Italian father a Karen mother from Myanmar. They spent their childhood in Macau, The twins were raised by Roman Catholic – attended Yuet Wah College, an all-boys' Roman Catholic secondary school in Macau. When they reached adulthood, they moved to Italy and began to develop their music career. Later on, Soooloor was officially formed and became professional musicians signing to EMI Italy in 2012 with the release of their first single in Europe. Prior to their debut in Hong Kong, they returned to Macau in 2015.
Chen further explained that Macau being a former colony of Portugal, which left a legacy of linguistic and other cultural elements. The music is called Macanese music, a mixture of Chinese and Portuguese music. This kind of hybrid music had its boom in early 20th century and the groups that used to perform it were called "Tunas". In Portugal, the "tuna" groups consisted of young men which would get together at universities and form Estudiantina-like groups, but in Macau, this kind of musical group took a different orientation, blending it with Carnival ballroom celebrations and street festivities. The repertoire consisted of carnival marches, ballads, waltzes, Cantonese-inspired ballads, fados, polkas, etc. You would get a glimpse of it in the parade being organized in Disney Land, Hong Kong.
Introducing Smith, Chen mentioned that he is a known guitarist and played all over the world with various groups.
Smith tried his hands on guitar and played a few tunes of Portuguese and Brazilian music. Julio and Dino were very happy and immediately offered Smith a career worth millions but Smith very politely said, “It would indeed be great pleasure for him to be with you but I’m not joining any particular group at the moment”
Julio and Dino looked dejected. Looking at them Smith said, “I would love to be part of your group if you have any show lined up in Europe around next summer season”
Julio said, “We would keep in mind and will get in touch if anything comes up like that their way”
After a cup of Coffee and friendly discussions, Chen took them to a Galaxy Macau Casino, where stakes were always high. Smith felt confident since Roper Evans was with them.

Episode 8
The casino at Galaxy Macau seems to go on and on forever in a bright and light open space. Rather than dark corners and rooms for specialty games, visitors found a brilliant and cheery casino floor space sporting over 1200 slots and electronic table games, as well as about 600 classic tables spreading Western and Asian favorites from Craps to Sic Bo - Baccarat to Roulette, and everything in between.
Roper Evans looked gaming facilities and was pleased with the set up and congratulating for her choice told Chen, “Seems you picked the right place for me”
Chen smilingly replied, “I am happy that you are happy”
Roper Evans asked a few penetrating questions to Chen and then decided to try his luck at Roulette. He asked Olivia to be with him and asked Smith and Eva to go to other Roulette. Roper Evans was the man who picked up the skill set that involved years of training, an extraordinary memory and numeracy, and acute visual, even aural observation, as in the case of wheel clocking in roulette or other examples of advantage play.
Roper Evans asked Chen about the fairness of the casino. Chen replied in affirmative and said, "with out any apprehension you may play here. Honesty is the hallmark of casinos of Macau"
Roper Evans again asked, "Tell me exactly about Galaxy Casino"
"No issue" replied Chen.
Smith and Eva moved to another table along with Chen. Chen tried to explain to both of them that Casino games generally provide a predictable long-term advantage to the casino, or “house”, while offering the player the possibility of a large short-term payout. Some casino games have a skill element, where the player makes decisions; such games are called “random with a tactical element”. While it is possible through skillful play to minimize the house advantage, it is extremely rare that a player has sufficient skill to completely eliminate his inherent long-term disadvantage normally termed as HE (the house edge) or house vigorous in a casino game.
Smith made some minor gains and Chen complimented him on his every move. Roper Evans and Olivia on the other table was real king today as they made bigger fortunes. Seeing this shift Chen moved closer to Olivia.
The moment Chen moved closer to Olivia Roper Evans started to lose. Olivia politely asked Chen to go to the table where Smith and Eva were playing the game. Reluctantly, Chen moved and stood by the side of Smith. Fortune again tilted in favor of Roper Evans.
By the time casino time was over, Roper Evans and Smith made huge fortunes. All the people were very happy that it was a good day for all of them. All of them returned to Venetian to reach their rooms. Smith took hand of Chen and entered his room. Roper Evans asked Eva and Olivia to joins him in his room as he has important thing to discuss.

Episode 9
"Hi! Buddies"
After finishing their breakfast Hi! Buddies with Chen decided to hang around beach as they have nothing else to do.
On the beach there weren't many people. So it was all open to these five to play in-between of them. Smith kept on running behind Chen as usual. Chen took her far off to be held by Smith in his strong arms.
They together went deep down in the sea waters.
Eva was trying to help Olivia clinched to Roper Evans. As she decided to go after him eyed to Olivia to follow both of them. Eva pulled Roper Evans towards water. They went ahead till they reach in waist deep waters. Eva and Olivia were in different mood and wanted to tease Roper Evans. They came closer to Roper Evans and suddenly worked together to pull down his swimwear. Roper Evans asked, "What the hell both of you are up to"
Eva laughingly said, "Life is too boring unless we play sport and be little funny"
Roper Evans thought for a while and caught hold of Olivia to pull her down upper part of the bikini to expose her.....Olivia felt uncomfortable went inside waters to pull back her bikini to its right place. Oilivia pulled herself out of the sea waters and went to lie on sand.
Roper Evans and Eva followed her and tried to lay down by the side of Oilivia. Putting her hands at her back and looking at Roper Evans notoriously Eva told, "You wana see what's there inside. Come on I hv...much more to expose than Olivia behind these two cups". She prepared to lie down on the towel spread on the beach and loosened her hook of the two piece bikini.
"Not you. For me my take is Olivia" Roper Evans told Eva.
Eva retorted, "You better not concentrate on Olivia. She doesn't like you as much as I do"
"I know who loves me who not" replied Roper Evans as he kept looking at Olivia.
Eva was more than happy to see Roper Evans expressing his love for Olivia so openly ad she wanted to play a catalyst.
Later they asked for chilled beer from a sea-beach side restaurant. It was after a long time all three were having fun. Seeing them basking in the sun Smith and Chen also came nearer them and lay besides Eva.
Eva looked Chen and scrutinized her body not to find any attraction and felt baffled to see what interests Smith so much that he was madly after Chen. Of late she was envious of Chen. Smith also observed this that something is burning deep inside Eva. He waited for the fun as he is caught in between two women.
After having their lunch in the nearby restaurant they returned to their hotel rooms to remain physically fit for the late night engagement at the Galaxy Casino.

The card game works best with from 2 to 4 players, though in theory more could take part. It has the distinction of being one of the few games which will deal out evenly to two, three, or four players. Four players can play in partnerships, two against two, with partners sitting opposite each other. Olivia partnering with Roper Evans took the seat opposite to each other.
A regular 52 card deck was put to use. Each numeral card (ace-ten) is counted as its numerical value (ace = 1, two = 2, etc). Picked up cards are accumulated in a pile to be counted at the end of the round.
Roper Evans asked a few searching questions before playing the cards to understand the system in Macau casinos. One of the Chinese players explained about the game. The dealer deals four cards to each player and four cards face up in the centre. Traditionally, the deal is in twos: two cards to each other player, two to the table, then two to the dealer, then repeat. However, some players prefer to deal the cards singly. The remainder of the deck is temporarily put aside. After everyone has played their four cards, another hand of four cards is dealt to each player from the remaining cards, but no more cards are dealt to the table after the first deal. After these cards have been played there is another deal, and this continues until all 52 cards are dealt. The dealer must announce "last" when dealing the last cards. The moment Chen came at the back of Olivia Chinese side increased the bet and there on it was a losing game for Roper Evans and Olivia.
Observing this trend, Roper Evans wanted to pull out of the game told Chinese that they are leaving. Chinese were taken by surprise with this sudden change in behaviour and were in rage but Roper Evans took hand of Olivia and went for the counter to change counters for his win. Smith and Eva also followed Roper Evans. Chinese side was upset as with larger part of the booty Roper Evans was walking out of the Casino. Soon to avoid any confrontation Chen tried to pacify but no one listened to her. Soon before two sides get evolved in exchange of fists. Security was called in and with the help of bouncers Eva and Smith with Roper Evans and Olivia left Galaxy Casino by a cab to reach their hotel in Venetian.
Chen didn’t come with them. Later, Roper Evans said to Smith, “Look Smith becoz of your habit of going after the girls wherever you go. We all could hv been in trouble. Chen was a double cross. This I noticed yesterday itself but kept quiet”
Eva looked at Smith and said, “Better you change your habit for falling any street whore. Do you wana someone to share your bed tonight? I will be a good to suck your remaining heat for sex”
Smith preferred to be quite. He told Eva, “I know you dear Buddy” and moved to his room and quickly bolted it from inside not to let Eva in.
Sensing some more problems Roper Evans asked everyone to pack up and they decided to leave Macau much earlier than their scheduled departure.

Episode 12
Hi! Buddies left Venetian very early around 05.00 to reach Airport though their flight was sometime around 09.00. Roper Evans was doubly cautious as he didn’t want any trouble in a foreign soil. Once they entered the Airport arrival lounge Roper Evans was more confident. He knew it pretty well that Chinese could be nasty.
All of them arrived at the Macau International Airport Macau Airport situated at the eastern end of the recently done up caters to Tapia island and neighbouring waters which opened for commercial operations on 9 November 1995, yet during Portuguese administration of the region.
Sitting in one of the corner, Eva cautioned Smith, “You need to behave in Hong Kong. Don’t go after girls”
Smith looked at Eva told her, “Make sure that you are with me”
“Surely, I will be with you” replied Eva.
“My dear make sure that you are there all the time of the day, even at night. I can’t sleep alone” asking this Smith grinned at Eva.
“Better get married. You are not the man made for me”
“Oh! It’s my bad luck” said Smith raising his hands in despair.
Roper Evan and Olivia watching them behaving like young lovers. Roper Evans finally broke his silence and asked, “Stop it. Both of you please”
Olivia asked Roper Evans, “Do you want to eat something?”
“Yeah”
Both of them ordered some snacks and asked, “Smith and Eva what’s your choice”
Both looked at the menu card and decided some common item that they shared in between them. As they were about to finish their breakfast, on the PA system there was an announcement about the departure of their flight to Hong Kong.
It was a big aircraft. All four of them sat together in the middle. Both ladies were sandwiched between two males. It was a flight for very short duration.
On arrival in Hong Kong they decided to check in Kowloon Shangri-La, A Five Star Hotel.

"Hi! Buddies"
Episode 12
Not slept well on the previous night ‘Hi! Buddies’ were fatigued and preferred to go under the blanket in their rooms and sleep before could decide something for the evening. Olivia was the least stressed got up early and phoned up others to wake up at 7.30 PM.
Later, they came down and met to decide what to do on a Saturday evening. The best advice came from the reception desk. All of them were later at the harbor enjoying scenic beauty of Hong Kong. In time for 13 minutes show starting at sharp 8.00, they stood by the side of railing near the Tower.
Victoria Harbor was a dazzling cityscape for a Symphony of Lights-the nightly multimedia show involving more than 40 buildings on both side of the harbor.
Named the ‘World’s Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show by Guinness Worlds Records, Colored Lights, Laser beams and search lights perform in an unforgettable all-round spectacle synchronized to music and narration that celebrates the energy, spirit and diversity of Hong Kong. In all there are five strong themes: Awakening, Energy, Heritage, Partnership and the finale Celebrations.
Roper Evans put his arm around waist of Olivia, Smith and Eva hand in hand they walked towards ferry to take a half an hour joy ride. Olivia, for the first time felt warmth in their loving relationship with Roper Evans. Smith and Eva were just trying to patch up their bitterness. All of them shot pics of each other to keep these mesmerizing moments.
Late they arrived in the Hotel to great dinner and went to watch a Musical evening organized on the open platform near the City Center. In attendance tonight, it was a Brazilian Musical Group.
One after another this group of mixed breed of young white and blacks gave their heart searching performances. The best thing that happened was when Smith spotted one of his old timer girl friend in the band from Brazil. He left Eva just in a hush and virtually ran towards the stage. And Smith hugged hugged and took her in his strong arms each other. Smith called loud enough so that Eva could clearly hear, "Hi Gabriella. How are you. I missed you"
Gabriella kissed Smith hard on his lips as if they have rediscovered their lost paradise. Gabriella was quick to respond, "Oh my God seeing you after a long time. Where were you all along. Any mistress in your life".
Eva was left high and dry. Seeing this Olivia came near to her and patted her back to cajole her only to hear, “This bast-erred would always remain untruthful. No point in believing his hoax calls”

Smith escorted Gabriella to meet his group. Coming closer he said, “Well Hi! Buddies, meet Gabriella my friend. We met in City of Mexico and she played guitar with me”
Welcoming Gabriella Roper Evans said, “Hi! It’s our pleasure meeting you Gabriella. She is Eva and the lady by my side is Olivia. We all are friends”
“Nice meeting you guys” replied Gabriella and pulled out her hand to shake hand.
Eva grinned and said, “Nice figure and very attractive face. Delighted to meet you”. Both of them shook hands. Similarly, Olivia also extended a very warm welcome.
Smith quickly added and grabbed opportunity to invite Gabriella, “Shall we go to the restaurant, why keep standing?”
“Yes, let’s go” said Gabriella.
“What’s your choice Buddies?” asked Smith.
Eva in a different mood said, “Time to celebrate, I will order some drink. Any particular preference Miss Gabriella”
“No. Nothing in particular', replied Gabriella.
Eva took lead and ordered drink and food. As drink arrived she said, “There is a saying in China that you earn money for food. When in China let us enjoy tonight Chinese delicacies”
As they sipped their drink Gabriella asked, “What makes you come to Hong Kong?”
This time Roper Evans answered, “In fact we arrived in Hong Kong this morning only. We went straight from London to Macau”
Then there was some exchange of information about the purpose of their visit and what all they have been doing. Listening to them very carefully and in particular all about Smith enjoying good times with one Chinese girl Chen and that they almost would have been in deep problem. Gabriella looked at Smith and remarked, “He is like that only. He found some good girls even in City of Mexico. But he was very decent with me. Isn’t it Smith? We were good friends and remained concerned with our music”
Hearing this Eva felt relieved and looked at Smith, who blinked his eye in return. Gabriella said, “I am a strong woman and my strength comes from my name Gabriella-meaning God is my strength”
“That’s great. We are too pleased to learn that” replied Roper Evans. Thereafter, atmosphere, which looked little tense, became easy between the ladies and they enjoyed their drink and food. When just about to leave the restaurant Gabriella asked looking at Roper Evan and Olivia, “Mr. Evans looks like that both of you got married recently”
Olivia, who remained silent almost during the entire discussions, opened up to ask, “What makes you think so?”

Gabriella replied, “Both of you look like made for each other”
Olivia was more than pleased but externally didn’t allow any expression to look like favouring the point of view of Gabriella. But Roper Evans reacted, “No Miss Gabriella, we aren’t even engaged. It's true that we are friends and like each other”
This expression itself was more than enough for Olivia. She looked pretty happy. Eva stroked her back in appreciation what Gabriella and Roper Evans have just said.
It was almost mid-night, time to go to bed. Smith asked Gabriella, What’s your room number?’
Gabriella replied, “2604” and asked, “Are you dropping in?”
“Haven’t yet made up my mind. My answer to your question is ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ both” replied Smith with notoriety in his voice as he looked at Eva. He kissed Gabriella and said, "Good night dear"
About Noon time, “Hi! Buddies” boarded a bus which was to take them to various spots of Hong Kong. Their Guide Wen happened to be a good English speaking jolly young lady. Wen did tell the meaning of her name as literate person and then went on telling that she has done her High School blab…bla…in a jovial and pleasing manner. On the whole Wen, a interesting personality in her early twenties suitable for the job of a tourist guide. She was quick to explain the day’s itinerary and within half an hour or so their Bus arrived at China Tower where they all got down to follow the guide to reach Terminus.
Opening in 1888, the Peak Tram was the first cable funicular in Asia, which carries both tourists and residents to the peak of The Peak Tram announced Wen to her fellow tourists, was initially used only by the Governor of Hong Kong and residents of the Peak, but today it is open to all visitors. Olivia spoke to Roper Evans in his ears, “Looks like another classical gift coming from British for its colonial people”
“Yeah” said Roper Evans, “British where ever they have gone brought development with them. It gives us a very different feeling. Isn’t it Olivia?”
Olivia simply blinked her eyes to confirm what was said by Roper Evans.
Peak Tram is one of the popular way of getting to the Peak, guide was quick enough to warn us that we might expect massive crowds being a Sunday, a weekly holiday. In the same breadth Wen announced that they need not worry as for us she had some special arrangements being a priority visitor and special arrangements made buy our Company.
Once in the Car Wen mentioned, “The ride uphill is very steep, practically 45 degree, so it can be extremely uncomfortable. Be prepared that you will be pressed into the old wooden benches of the Peak Tram. For those who are standing, please hold on tightly to the rails or handlebars to prevent falls. But do not worry as the tram is perfectly safe. No accident of any kind has ever occurred since it started its operation in 1888. However, the steepness makes it extremely hard for us to take a nice photo. Furthermore, there is actually not much of a view to see as the view is often blocked by trees”
On arrival at the China Peak Hi! Buddies did go round Madame Tussads Wax Museum as it was a part of the package and went round the Peak Tower located at the top level of the Peak Tower is the Sky Terrace. Standing at 428 metres above sea level, the Sky Terrace 428 is the highest open-air viewing platform in Hong Kong offering a 360 degree panoramic view of Hong Kong supposed to offer visitors the best view of Hong Kong.
‘Hi! Buddies’ found the Peak Galleria adjacent to Peak Tower having several restaurants. Feeling hungry they decided to have mini meal with black Coffee.
Discussing amongst them Smith pointed out, “There is hardly anything of great interest”
Eva was quick to respond, “If you are thinking about that Chinese girl, who went out doing funny things with you in Macau then how will you find anything here to your taste?”
Roper Evans looked at Smith and said, “All tourist places world over have similar spots where you find historical things. Here also, at least, I discovered British doing some great work during their colonial rule”
“Exactly, I too felt that our predecessors have done us proud” politely said Olivia.
Tourist guide Wen came in the restaurant to announce, “Time up here. Ladies and gentleman let’s move to our next destination”

Episode 17
Roper Evans looked at Olivia and asked, “What are you thinking”
“Nothing, I was just wondering what a change of heart. Smith has agreed to take Eva out?”
“Not that he wanted us to have some free time” said Roper Evans.
Olivia took hand of Roper Evans in her hands, “Roper I love you. You know that”
“I love you too my darling”
“Oh my God, I was dying to listen this from you” an euphoric Olivia said, “You made my day. I will ever remember this day whole my life. Oh my God all this was to happen here in Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong”
“Not only this. Much more is still to come. You will be surprised” answered Roper Evans.
“What’s that” asked Olivia.
Roper Evans held her hand and waited for her to leave her chair. He put his hand around her waist and walked along with Olivia to his room. Olivia spent that night with Roper Evans.
Next morning Eva phoned up Roper Evans to tell him, “Roper, you know Olivia is not in her room. She is even not responding to my calls on cell. I’m worried about her. Do you have any idea..?”
Roper Evans replied, “Don’t worry Eva, will let you know when we meet"
“What? What are you saying? You know, me asking you about Olivia and hotel staff tell me she was seen last with you” asked a worried Eva.
“Cool baby cool. I know what you are asking. Don’t worry. I will let you know when we meet in the restaurant in half an hour for breakfast” replied Rope Evans and hanged.

Episode 19
Buddies a round trip is to take the ferry to Lantau Island (Mui Wo or Silvermine Bay). They went round the monastery located on Lantau Island, the largest outlying island in Hong Kong. Originally built by three monks visiting from Jiangsu in 1906, the monastery was initially called 'The Big Hut'. That time it was only a shrine. Gradually, many monks settled there and it was renamed 'Po Lin Monastery'. Expanded further in the decade of 1930, it became one of the top monasteries in Hong Kong.
After the visit to monastery Buddies decided to have lunch at the monastery, which offered Mouth-watering Chinese dishes.
Buddies took aerial route by using a cable car to reach Huge copper idol of Sakyamuni or Tian Tan Buddha is the largest outdoor Buddha statue in the world. Completed in 1993, the idol, its pedestal included is about 111 feet tall. The idol depicts a seated Buddha in meditating position.
It was a tiring day for the Buddies. Returning back to hotel Olivia headed to her room, She was promptly stopped by Eva, who asked, “Olivia you are coming to your room, I thought you will go to the room of Roper Evans”
Olivia thought it’s time to talk to Eva. She invited Eva for talks. Olivia narrated all that happened the previous night between her and Roper Evans. Olivia was candid enough to accept, “Eva, I never imagined that I will ever be treated with so much care and respect by a man. Rope Evans was simply superb. He treated me very well. My journey to womanhood was so perfectly crafted that I can’t tell you that it looked like fantasy come true”
Eva went on hearing all that which Olivia narrated to her. At the end of the long conversation Eva asked, “Olivia you say Roper Evans made you a very happy woman. Isn’t it? May I know from you do all men behave in the similar fashion.?”
“How do I know about any other man. I never had a chance. What I got from him it was highly satisfying” said Olivia.
Two ladies talked about it at length since Eva wanted to win over her inner fears of facing a man…..

Episode 20
Eva was in double mind. Not too sure of her but decided to give some room to Smith. To check if he can come around. Next day when Roper Evans went to the market along with Olivia. Smith decided to go for an outing at the Clear Water Bay Second Beach.
It was a sunny day. Beach was a perfect place. Clear Water Bay Second Beach offered the chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong and cool off. With wide expanses of white sand and clear, calm sea; the picturesque beach suited the needs of Smith and Eva. On a working day, the beach gave them freedom to go wild, chase each other and bask the sun while reading some light material. By the time they arrived at their hotel room Eva was fully charged.
Olivia and Roper Evans preferred to enjoy ride in the trams and metro, one of the most modern transport system in the world in a busy palace like Hong Kong. They hanged around Malls and plazas the happening places to have a feel of the Hong Kongnian way of life. Standing in front of Nautica Show room at Times Square, Roper Evans told something very funny in the ears of Olivia, “Let me share with you that this store reminds me of a beautiful woman named Nautica, NauticaThorn, a hot Asian star from Hong Kong, whose mother helped her to prolong her career in the industry suggesting ways and means"
Olivia asked, “How do you know? She was from Hong Kong”
“I read about her in one of the Sex magazines on the flight from London to Hong Kong” told Roper Evans.
“I thought you are one of her fan and watched her in action”
“No. Not my choice”
“Why all males do, I know” said Olivia.
“If you say so I will say girls also do watch movies with keen interest in such stars” replied Roper Evans.
They spent time in shopping, sipping beer and enjoying Chinese delicacies. Roper Evans told Olivia, “Not too sure of availability of ladies items in India better you do some shopping”
“When do we travel to Delhi?”
“I intend confirming our flight for the coming Sunday”
“Think I am going to enjoy our stay in the hills in India” opined Olivia.
“Think so” said Roper Evans.

Episode 22
Eva asked the reception, "Anything that you may suggest us to visit in Hong Kong"
Reception desk In-charge checked with her what are the places that they already have been to. He listened to Eva carefully and suggested that they can visit Disneyland as it is one of the major attraction for tourists. Eva joked, "Better next time when I have kids. Disneyland at London is surely a better deal than Hong Kong"
"Then mam, I would suggest that you spend time at the beach and enjoy sunny days since Sun hardly is to be seen in London" said desk Incharge.
Eva noticed that desk Incharge had some wit in his response but preferred to let it go unnoticed and told him, "I'm in agreement with you"
Then all of them came to beach and enjoyed the remaining two days. Saturday being the weekend holiday for Hong Kongnianas they could see large crowds coming to beach. They didn't do anything unusual to be noticed by the crowd.
While Eva and Smith were just enjoying their outing Smith looked at a Chinese blonde in her two piece swim suit and said, "Eva look at her. She has lovely long legs and attractive figure"
Eva while carefully examined the Chinese young lady and returned to give bit of fire to Smith, "When will you stop watching these young ladies. You men will remain men. You will never change. Let me tell you every women has similar things. Don't go mad after a young lady, howsoever, she may look attractive. You know the reality when you deal with her in your day to day life"
Smith realizing that he shouldn't have made such remark to offend the pride of Eva very politely said, "Sorry if it hurts you. I didn't mean to hurt you. But I'm the one who always appreciate such nice things. After all these ladies also like them to be watched and appreciated by men folks"
"Yeah I do agree. For that reason every human being like to be watched but not the way you do. You penetrate deep inside to feel what they have to offer to you. Your thoughts always centered around about spending a night out with her" said Eva.
"I don't mind if you want go with a man of your choice"
"You bastard. Son of a witch will never have the pleasure of a life partner. I am absolutely clear about you" said Eva and walked to the place where Olivia and Roper Evans were lying and basking the Sun. Olivia could sense that something has again gone wrong within Eva and Smith. Olivia asked, "What happened?"
Eva also decided to lie by the side of Olivia said, "Shall talk to you later. I'm upset with this guy. Let me just enjoy my day"
Roper Evans eyed to Olivia to say just do not disturb till she is cool. When they returned to their hotel Olivia had some heart searching discussions about Smith. Olivia after listening to Eva told her, "Darling you are too possessive. Men in West are like that you have to allow them some space"
Eva said, "I understand that Olivia but this man is different"
Olivia said, "That's why he is part of the "Hi! Buddies" group my dear"
Eva understood and smiled and holding hand of Olivia walked up to her room and said, "Good night"
On the Sunday morning Hi! Buddies traveled to the Hong Kong Airport and took the Jet Airways flight to reach Delhi.

Episode 23
Just after landing at the Delhi airport, Eva told Roper Evans, “I wana go home. Fed up of this man”
Roper Evans told her, “Behave young lady behave. You are Eva, the lady I know of gr8 guts. What happened to you?”
Olivia also helped Roper Evans to see that Eva changed her mind. After lot of persuasion, Eva finally agreed to come with them to Hotel. “Hi! Buddies” after reaching hotel sat in the room of Olivia and discussed at length and convincing Eva Roper Evans told her, "Smith be given one more chance. Facing Adversity, Building Resilience and Finding Joy that's what we formed this group. We are different than normal human beings and should be above all. Such trivial issues should not become the cause to derail our future plans"
When Eva looked little at ease, Roper Evans told Eva that they all would go straight to Agra early next morning to see the temple of Love ‘The Tajmahal’. Eva who had never been to Agra on learning this change in the programme agreed to stay back and be with them on their trip to Agra.
On arrival at the Western gate of Taj Complex, Hi! Buddies walked slowly to enter the Taj. The very first sight of Tajmahal made everyone happy and almost simultaneously ‘Wow’ word came out from their throat. They went round the complex. Shot pictures at almost all the points keeping Taj in the background.
When chance came to take a snap sitting on the bench near the water pool in front of the Taj, first it was Roper Evans and Olivia and followed later by Smith with Eva. The photographer told them that at this very place all major world leaders and Monarchs sat for a pic. He told them the names of leading Royalties including Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip to Prince Charles and Lady Diana. Eva felt cold chill down her spine the moment she recalled the uneventful love life of the two Royalties but kept her cool.
Later going round the Tomb and standing on the Yamuna river front side, something happened to Smith who held both hands of Eva went down on knees and said, “Eva I love you. I make promise to remain faith full to you”
Tears of joy rolled down the cheeks of Eva, who also went down to give a very warm and affectionate hug to Smith. Roper Evans and Olivia clapped and wished them all well. Later they went to hotel Amar Villas Agra had a most memorable lunch. Eva was much better and on that night she shared the King size bed with Smith. Olivia also remained indoors with Roper Evans.

Episode 24
Roper Evans who was the principal coordinator of Hi! Buddies spoke to Pushp Raj Singh Bisht to find out how to reach Haldwani? Pushp Raj asked him, “Where are you at present?”
Roper Evans told him, “At Agra”
“OK” said Pushp Raj and then guided Roper Evans so that Hi! Buddies can reach Haldwani by the evening.
On arrival at “Anant Bhawan”, Hi! Buddies were given a hearty welcome. Anant Bahadur Singh Bisht was personally there in the porch along with his whole family his wife Sharmishtha Singh Bisht, Pushp Raj Singh and his wife Anya and of course the little young of Anant Bhawan Tanya were also there. After the ‘Hi! Buddies’ were introduced by Pushp Raj with others all of them went inside to be seated in a large drawing room well with chandeliers and nicely decorated with family photographs of Bishts. All of them enjoyed a welcome tea and some light refreshment. Pushp Raj was quick to enquire, “How was the journey like?”
Young Tanya was delighted to meet the guests. She caught attention of ‘Hi! Buddies’. Her greenish eyes were to the like of everyone. Her mother Anaya too had greenish eyes and very attractive personality in her early thirties. She was in typical Indian attire and Eva and Olivia were too happy to see a foreigner wearing the Indian Sari. Olivia asked, ‘If I wish to wear Sari will you please help me”
“Sure, not only help you, I will also lend you a few of my Saris if you so desire” replied Anya.
Sharmishtha asked, “It must have been a long journey”
“Almost seven hour’s nonstop. But road was indeed very good upto Ghaziabad. Thereafter in patches it was Ok” replied roper Evans.
Anant Raj announced, ‘I think you all deserve a good rest before we meet for dinner. Tell us your preference, if any, we have a butler who could cook to your requirements”
It was Smith, who said, “Well we will enjoy Indian food. We had a taste of it yesterday at Agra. In fact, it was a change for us, we have been eating all cold stuff with out spices in Hong Kong and Macau”
Eva too joined Smith, “I would like not to eat Indian food but would learn also. I hope you will not object”
“Why should we? Just feel at home” replied Sharmishtha.
Anant Raj asked Pushp Raj to help them reach their rooms. All of them led by Pushp Raj arrived at the Annexee meant and used for family guests. Pushp Raj prepared four rooms for them but Roper Evans said, “Two are good enough. I will share with Olivia and Smith with Eva”
Pushp Raj asked, “We have no issue if it suits you. I got ready individual suits as told by you when we met at London”
Roper Evans said, “There are something’s that I will share with you later”
Pushp Raj shrugged his shoulders and asked the help to put their luggage in their respective room. Soon after he left them to take rest and said, “Ok, see you later at the dinner”

Episode 25
It was dinner time when "Hi! Buddies"again met Bishts. Anant Bahadur and Sharmishtha with other family members were there to welcome them.
As they settled Pushp Raj asked Roper Evans, “Must be feeling good now. Rest is necessary when you are out for seven-eight hours at a stretch on Indian roads”
Roper Evans answered by saying, “No it wasn’t that bad as you are making it out. It’s ok we all enjoyed. Had a break in between for lunch at a place called Moradabad. So no major issue”
Sharmishtha asked Eva, ‘How do you feel here for a change. It’s a small place”
“We all are very happy. Especially with the nice cottage that we are living in” smilingly replied Eva.
In the mean while a help whose name was announced by Aanya as Ram Singh served them Jaljeera, a typical Indian drink before dinner. Aanya said, “Hope you enjoy this drink. Don’t think Bishts don’t care to treat their guest with liquor. We have a big cellar. So don’t worry. Please order when you are feeling low”
Hi! Buddies enjoyed Jaljeeera and looked at each other. Smith was the first one to say, “Oh! It’s superb. Is it made with herbs looks like?”
Sharmishtha quickly told, “Yeah a mixture of herbs, spices and of course fresh soda lime”
Olivia said, “It tastes wonderful”
After a exchange of initial pleasantries, Anant Bahadur took his time to tell them about their family background. He was more than pleased to tell that when Aanya came from St. Peters they all were little worried how she would like our place. But to their surprise she has adjusted so well. Olivia asked Aanya about where she met Pushp Raj and when they had fallen for each other.
Aanya shyly spoke, “Well it was at the University campus where Pushp was doing his engineering studies”
“I made the first move. I liked her greenish eyes and very charming face” said Pushp Raj stopping Aanya halfway.
Like that Hi! Buddies got to know about Bishts.

Episode 26
After an eventful chit chat, Aanya and Tanya gave a dance performance on a Hindi song for "Hi! Buddies". Eva also tried one or two steps.
It was becoming late for the dinner, Aanya took the lead and invited guests to join on a big dining table good enough to meet the needs of about 16 persons at a time. Dining hall was well lit with a central chandelier hanging atop dining table. Side walls were taste fully decorated with colour photographs of elders of the family.
Anant Bahadur sat in his chair at the head of family and in front of him was Sharmishtha, his wife. On the other two sides seated were Roper Evans and Olivia along with Smith and Eva. Facing them were Pushp Raj and Aanya with their daughter Tanya.
Looking at the dining table and the dishes that were laid there one could feel that it had the touch of a Russian hand as lots of green salads, baked tomatoes and potatoes were there. Of course there were mix of Indian and Moughali delicacies as well. To begin with hot chicken cream soup was served by the helps. Looking at the quantity and quality of food stuff, Roper Evans couldn’t stop himself from commenting, “OMG so much food for us. Never imagined”
Sharmishtha gleefully said, “Aanya is a excellent host. So you needn’t worry as far as food is concerned”
Smith, Eva and Olivia thankfully looked at Aanya. Aanya simply smiled. Little girl Tanya, who was observing silence so far opened up to say that her mom is a great cook herself and always loved to treat her guests well. Pushp Raj complimenting comment of Tanya said, “Yes Tanya is right in sense that earlier we were always in hurry to finish our dinner. We adopted this culture to meet and spend time at the dining table once she joined us”
Olivia looked at Aanya and asked, “Will we get a chance one of these days to be treated typically in the classical Indian way”
Roper Evans also joined Olivia and said, “That would really give us a exposure of the Indian life style”
Promising that Anaya said, “We have preserved our culture very well for guests like you but open up only when someone puts in request”
“Ok then one day please” said Roper Evans.
After sumptuous food it was time for Hi! Buddies to say, “Good night” and all of them returned to their rooms. Eva entering her room asked Smith, “How do you feel”
“If you are asking about food, I would give 100/100 to Bishts" replied Smith.
"After we left Hong Kong, we are getting good food in India" said Eva
As they entered the room they heard sound of music coming from far off as if someone is playing violin. Smith came out to see who it was? He stood there till the violin was being played. He was about to come back to bed when Eva came out and said, "Shall we go down for a stroll it's full moon night"
"Yes if you wish so" saying this Smith held her hand and went out with in the compound of the "Anant Villa"
They returned to room quite late and changed in easy dress and said to each other 'Good Night'
Episode 27
Next morning when Hi! Buddies met at the breakfast Smith was quick to ask Pushp Raj, “Yesterday night I heard someone playing violin”
“Yeah! It was me” said Pushp Raj.
“Oh! It was splendid” said Smith, “I will have to team up with you. May be one evening we will have a great musical night. I play drums”
“Oh! Gr8 to know that. I will call up few my family friends who play other instruments. It’s going to be a fun”
Anant Bahadur, who normally spoke less, asked Smith, “What are your other hobbies?”
“Basically, I’m a musician. Nothing else interests me other than music” politely replied Smith.
Roper Evans noted that Anant Bahadur was looking at him. He got the clue and said, “My interests are varied. Basically I’m a man from a family whose three uncles laid their lives while serving British forces during Indian mutiny of 1857 and my father served in one of the company manufacturing electrical equipment in Chennai. I like to travel and hunt around some information during this visit about my elders”
It was time now for Anant Bhahadur to say something, “Guess no one is conscious about health. You guys must look after yourself. My whole family including little Tanya follows a strict health regime. We all start our day with Yoga. Thereafter, everyone is free to pursue his or her own interests. For example I go for fishing in the nearby river and enjoy reading books. Sharmishtha looks after our dairy and milk farming. Pushp Raj looks after agriculture and floriculture. Aanya gets busy with her duties to look after our estate”
Eva was quick to respond, “Well can I join you in your Yoga exercises”
“Sure why not be at the front court tomorrow morning” replied Anant Bahadur.
Olivia felt as if she is the only one left behind also offered to join Bishts in Yoga. Pushp Raj mentioned, “Papa don’t you think it would be good if we call Rajan Guru to train these friends Yoga in a proper way”
“That’s fantastic. Please tell him to be here early in the morning” said Anant Bahadur.

Episode 28
By the time, “Hi! Buddies” arrived at the front court of the “Anant Villa” Bishsts were already there with Rajan Guru Ji. On arrival Anant Bahadur introduced “Hi! Buddies” to Rajan Guru Ji and told him, “These are your new disciples keen to learn yoga”
Guru Ji looked at each of them very carefully and observed, “I’m delighted to see Olivia in nice shape. Eva needs bit of toning down. Roper Evans is ok but Smith you need to seriously look after yourself”
“Hi! Buddies” agreed with the observation of Guru Ji and promised to adopt Yoga in their life style. Guru ji looked little uncomfortable to see ‘Hi! Buddies” not in proper dress observed, “First thing is that all of you should get proper dresses for the yoga classes”
Pushp Raj intervened to say, “It was since decided only yesterday night. I will take them to market during the day and tomorrow onward they will be in proper dress”
Rajan Guru Ji then commenced by telling all of them about the history of Yoga and about various asanaas and the benefits that one could get if Yoga is made as part of the life style. Thereafter, Guru Ji gave demonstration of as to how one should sit in 'padamaasan' to begin with and then followed by ‘Praanaayaam’ and explained benefits accruing out of it. He asked all present to follow him and repeat exactly the way he was demonstrating. Everyone followed Guru Ji and then slowly-slowly Guru Ji told them about other asanaas too. When it came to learning yogic exercises in standing postures and do exercises, Eva and Olivia both were not comfortable in their loose gowns so they decided to pull it off and perform exercises in their two pieces comfortable wears.
When the first day yoga class was over Rajan Guru Ji asked, “How was the experience”
Olivia said, “Oh! It was great. I loved it”
Rajan Guru ji looked at Eva to listen to her experience and she responded by saying, “Splendid. I assure you that I will adopt Yoga in my life as I would never like to loose charm of being looked at as a classic beauty”
Rajan Guru Ji thoroughly examined Eva from top to bottom and advised, “Don’t worry at all. You will just be in your shape only you have do it regularly. I will keep coming everyday, till I complete my Yoga classes”

After the first day session of Yoga was over, Anant Bahadur invited everyone to join him in the “Anant Villa”. Aanya while asked help to send water for everyone, she asked, “Who all are willing to have fresh lime soda”
Rajan Guru Ji supporting the move said that a glass of fresh lime soda would do wonders and it is recommended that everyone takes it. Help arranged fresh lime soda for everyone. In the mean while Rajan Guru Ji felt that it’s right time to talk about the goodness of Yoga so delivering a small talk about Yoga, he said, "Hey Smith, Eva, Roper Evans and Olivia.....a very warm welcome to the holistic Yoga life experience which has long been practiced and accepted as a way of life by our great Indian sages and mystics centuries ago and now being recognized and widely accepted by galaxy of scientists and technocrats the world-over"
Roper Evans, who listened to Rajan Guru in all seriousness, had a few questions churning his mind, so he asked, "Well Guru Ji as you say Yoga if adopted in the life style it will help enhance the life"
"True" said Rajan Guru Ji and then continued to add, "Life is too complex a subject. But yes, we have answer to your question. But you have to wait for some time till you realise the goodness of Yoga in your life as it has links with 'purity of thought'. I will answer your question one of these days but I would suggest to you to begin with yoga. Today was just a beginning a lot more is to come"
Amongst “Hi! Buddies” Eva looked very attentive during the talk by Rajan Guru Ji. Smith was in his as usual carefree attitude. After a while Rajan Guru ji left for his Ashram.
Anant Bahadur asked, ‘Who will care for a tea?”
Almost all said, ‘Yes”
Aanat Bahadur looked at Aanya, who went inside the kitchen only to return with two pots of tea along with a help. Pushp Raj said, “Papa it’s enough for the day let them have some time before they come back for breakfast and I take them to market”

Episode 30
Pushp Raj and Aanya took their guests to city of Haldwani. While passing through the city Pushp Raj told ‘Hi! Buddies’, “About six-seven years back there wasn’t much of the progress seen here. It’s only after Uttrakhand was been carved out in November, 2000 from the larger State of Uttar Pradesh all round development has taken place. At least now we have business activity in the area”
He drove them past busy areas of the city and allowed them to have a look at the Kathgodam Railway station, local bus and taxi stand and some of the street markets selling vegetables and other grocery products before finally reaching Vishal Mega Mart Mall, Pritam Market, opposite Naini Valley School on Nainital Road. Aanya on her part gave little information about Haldwani City that it’s the mouth of hilly terrain of Kumaon and once you on this road you are destined to go to the spots which are truly and like heaven.
All of them went round the Vishal Mega Mart Mall, which looked to be tiny before sprawling malls of London, Macau and Hong Kong in the eyes of ‘Hi! Buddies’. They purchased for themselves suitable outfits for performing Yoga and a few select dresses for Tanya. Before returning to ‘Anant Villa’ they decided to have lunch over there and to the utter surprise of Pushp Raj and Aanya ‘Hi! Buddies’ preferred to have all vegetarian three course meal.
On their way back to the 'Anant Villa" all ladies were comfortably seated at the rear seat of the Van and Pushp Raj on the wheels along with his daughter Tanya occupying front seat adjoining to the driver. Eva and Olivia were cutting jokes and discussing all ladies topics. Eva asked Aanya, "Tell me one thing becoming too religious and true follower of yogic principles in any way affects your sex life"
Aanya replied very candidly, "Eva on the contrary it has become more vibrant and buoyant. Now both of us enjoy sex to our mutual satisfaction"
Olivia smiled looking at Eva and her frank questioning Aanya on her very personal matter and said, "Eva now that you have the answer try to convince your man"
Eva patted at the back of Olivia and smilingly said, "It seems you are enjoying good times with Roper Evans. It's only me asking silly questions"
Returning to their cottages Eva said, “Smith it looks like you are not much impressed by Rajan Guru Ji”
“I’m not too sure of me but frankly it doesn’t make any sense to me” replied Smith.
Olivia politely said, “Dear Smith don’t you think that you should give it a try?”
Smith simply shrugged his shoulders to express his negative mood. Roper Evans was quick to react and said, “Eva and Olivia just leave him alone on this subject. I know he is a hard nut to crack. Right now his first love is music and let him pursue that till he sees some utility of Yoga in his life”
“There you are dear Roper” said Smith”

Episode 31
In the evening at the request of Pushp Raj a few of his friends came to “Anant Villa’ with their musical instruments. They were formally introduced to Smith. They had hearty exchange of thoughts on music and decided to rehearse for a programme of about an hour so. While they were rehearsing Smith observed that few instruments which he never had seen earlier make a good combination with drum. In particular he liked Tabala and Dholak besides loved Sitar, Flute,Violin, Banjo, Mouthorgan etc. Smith knew well about Sitar since the time of Beatles and Ravi Shankar who produced some of the most haunting music Jugalbandi.
It was decided by them that on coming Saturday they would give a live show to the audience of a few select people of Haldwani city at ‘Aanat Villa’. To make their programme more attractive they decided to adopt a particular style of clothing’s for which Pushp Raj made especial arrangements by hiring a few tailors from the city. For rehearsal sessions they met regularly at ‘Anant Villa’.
Next day early in the morning as scheduled Rajan Guru Ji came for continuing his Yoga classes. He demonstrated some of the difficult Asanas and allowed ‘Hi! Buddies’ to follow the Asanas as demonstrated. At the end of the session he took question from the ‘Hi! Buddies’ and others. Anaya repeated the question asked yesterday by Eva and said it would do well if Guru Ji could explain the position of Yoga on this aspect. Reacting to the question that was put by Anaya on behalf of Eva he replied, “Yes Eva your doubts are not altogether unfounded. Yoga is often misconstrued as a religious process practiced by sages to control their worldly and lusty desires so as to enable and concentrate on their divine union with the Almighty. But I want to clarify on this that Yogic asanas are complete in all respects- there are asanas which increase and enhance the vitality and sexual prowess and simultaneously we have other asanas which suppress the sexual hunger and desires as well. So it’s an individual's choice which set of asanas is suitable for him/her and goes for it full-on. Any other queries you are open to ask....”
There were a few more questions which were aptly answered by Rajan Guru Ji. Guru Ji further said, “I would be taking classes for a few more days and would like you to clear your doubts if any about Yoga. As I mentioned earlier Yoga helps you live a life in which peace of mind is paramount. Now it is open to you all either to adopt or leave it in your life style. I would also say that there are a few ailments that can be totally cured by Yoga but if ailments aren't cured it’s always better to consult a physician for proper treatment” thanking all participants he said, “Yoga is basically a journey to lead a happy life and its scope is unlimited as through Yoga you could achieve total solutions of your problems”
After the Yoga session ‘Hi! Buddies’ went inside the ‘Anant Villa’ to take a healthy drink and thanked Rajan Guru Ji for sparing time out of his busy schedule.
During the day Roper Evans decided to accompany Anant Bahadur for fishing, Olivia decided to go with Sharmishtha to work at their Dairy and Poultry farms and whereas Eva decided to cling to Aanya to learn cooking of healthy food.
In the evening and after the music session, ‘Hi! Buddies’ had a total vegetarian dinner with Bishts. Bishts had their regular meals which included some Chicken dishes. When asked, “Why they are not taking Chicken Roper was quick to respond we eat beef, pork and other non veg items back home we shall try to find out if we can live without these items”
Back in their rooms, when they were all set to go to bed Olivia asked, “Roper how do you feel?”
“Olivia dear, I am fine. Do you have something special in your mind?”
Olivia replied by blinking her eyes and kissed Roper.

Episode 32
Roper enjoyed good times fishing near Haldwani with Anant Bahadur. He decided to continue his forays. But before going out he asked Pushp Raj to take him to the library of sprawling ‘Anant Villa’.
After seeing such a gr8 collection of books in various languages, Roper went over to English section and pulled out a few books on Indian Tigers. He decided to pick up three books. He asked Pushp Raj, “Could he take these books while going for fishing. It’s worth to read a few books when your father is busy fishing"
Pushp Raj said, “By all means. In fact I would like to tell you that our ancestors enjoyed going in jungles on hunting missions. But now since hunting is banned at least you could enjoy jungle life with my dad. He has some of the gr8 memoirs to share of shooting Indian Tigers”
“Is it? I wasn’t knowing all about it neither he has ever told me”
“You need to coax him. Once you switch him on, he is unstoppable”
“Oh! Gr8 to know that. Thanks that you told me” replied Roper.
Roper picked up three books namely Man Eaters of Kumaon-by Jim Corbet, Indian Tiger Caged in the Cupboard and Tiger–The Soul of India. He asked, “Pushp any idea which one his favorite”
“No idea” replied Pushp and asked roper, “Find it out when he is amidst jungles then you will experience a different Aanat Bahadur in him- a boyish, exuberant and keen story teller"
Little thereafter, Roper left with Anant Bahadur to the nearby forest range. Driving in open jeep alongside an experienced lover of jungle and by the side of hilly river, through thick forest range was an experience for Roper. In early November, when winter is just about to set in when you drive through forest you feel that your nostrils are filled with freshness of Oak and Teak plantation. You feel like never returning to your base and spend rest of your life amidst jungles.
Almost after an hours’ drive they were near the pond where they came yesterday for fishing. While Anant Bahadur straightway went in for fishing Roper, lying down by his side, started turning pages of the reviews of the books. He found that though a little unknown SPSingh’s book had one of the best reviews. He decided to go through the book. But before that he tried to find out from Anant Bahadur. So he flashed the front of the book and asked, “Have you read this book?"
“Yeah, I have read it. Not once but twice and liked it very much” stating about the book Aanat added, “It’s all about a small principality in Eastern Uttar Pradesh called Mankapur where lived this royal family around whom this book is all about. Though it is a fiction but story is so well woven, once you start reading you will continue till you have finished it. I remember two characters of the book, one that English beauty from London named Florence and the other one Dushyant, the royal prince of the Mankapur Estate”
After this Anant raised his hands and said, "That’s all nothing more as I don’t want to kill your interest. You read it to establish me wrong”
Roper smiled and said, “Ok thanks. Hope you will carry lots of fishes by the evening and I carry sweet memories about this book”
"Just a small interruption before you get glued to your book just see that Sambhar in the pond. Exactly there I shot at the Tiger when it came to drink water" pointing in the direction of the pond said Anant Bahadur.
"It was exactly when?" asked in a quick reaction Roper.

Episode 33
"Yes, exactly at the same place. We were on a machan specially made for us on that tree of black shishoo. I saw the big cat, she finished drinking water, I picked up my 12 bore gun shot at het. My shot was so perfect and it pierced through the center of her head. She fell with a thud and water splashed creating waves in otherwise peaceful pond water. Carefully watched, noticing no moment, we came down to pick up our kill" telling his story said Anant Bahadur.
Roper was still to comprehend the actual scene much before a pleased Anant Bahadur told, "Roper you know that the same lioness was stuffed later and was gifted to one my friend Collins, who came all the way to meet me from Yorkshire"
"Tell me if you can count back how many Tigers you might ha hunted"
"Don't remember exactly but not less than nine-ten"
"May I conclude since then Tigers hv disappeared" taking a pot shot Roper asked Anant Bahadur.
"No exactly. Yes they appear to have migrated to much safer places like Corbett park etc."
"One of these days I and Olivia would sit with you to listen about your hunting missions"
"Sure, it will be my pleasure" replied Anant Bahadur.
By the time Anant and Roper returned to 'Anant Villa' it was pretty late in the evening. At the time of dinner all of them met again. Fresh farm produce from Bishts Farms nicely cooked along with fish preparations were the part of delicious spread at the dining table at 'Anant Villa'. When the dining table is full of mouth watering dishes how Aanat Bahadur can deprive his guests the Scotch. So he went down to the cellar and returned with a finest 'Glen Alba 22 Year Old' Scotch bottle.
As Smith had the first glimpse of the bottle, he hurriedly took a glass and went over to Pushp Raj, who was to serve drinks. Seeing Smith in such a great hurry Pushp Raj obliged him first and poured a large shot and topped it up with ice cubes and said, "Scotch on the rocks will do good to you.
Happily every one enjoyed the drinks and shared their experiences. First was Eva, who stayed back at home, told, “I really cannot tell you how much enjoyable it was to work with Anaya. She is a wonderful cook and a host. She explained and I cooked Indian Chicken Curry typically called here as Murg Kari”
Smith jovially said, “Means today we have to eat dishes prepared by you. God may help us”
“What nonsense are you talking Smith. You eat first and later tell me if you liked or not” retorted Eva.
Quickly Olivia added, “Chickens, eggs and vegetables are from Bishts Farm so you needn’t worry about quality”
“Where are fishes which were picked up by uncle Aanat during the day? asked Roper.
“All are here just don’t worry” replied Aanya “Please enjoy your drinks and have your dinner”
Immediately thereafter, all were seen toasting their drinks. Anant Bhahadur and Sharmishtha had smiles for their guests. Sharmishtha after taking her first sip announced, “Well I have some good news for you ladies and gentlemen” Everyone looked at her as if something big is going to happen. Sharmistha took her own time to create anxiety amongst all and then told, “Day after tomorrow we will have guests from St. Petersburg. Elder bro of Aanya and his wife will be here some time by the evening”
Roper was the first one react, “Means East and West Europeans meet will be held here”
“Not only that we Indians will also be there. Don't exclude us please" a jubilant Aanat Bahadur mentioned.

Episode 34
Morning time was for Rajan Guru Ji. A day before he demonstrated various asanas and asked all assembled to repeat before going over to some advanced asanas. At the end of his session Rajan Guru Ji spoke about importance of yoga in life, "YOGA is called a holistic system to harmonise our body and mind in unison, ushering-in overall peace and internal happiness which is visible in one's radiant aura. I will demonstrate all these pranayams for you and then you can follow me. You can repeat these pranayams five times or as suited to your comfort level. Goodbye for now and see you tomorrow again......"
Roper had some questions in his mind which he referred to Rajan Guru Ji. After listening to Roper, Rajan Guru Ji spoke, “You said that you consumed non-vegetarian dishes and also had some liquor. Well Yoga doesn’t put any restrictions on your life style be your food habits, be your clothing’s and even your religious thoughts. Yoga is all about purity of thought. It’s process to help you lead a life style in a way that will bring overall happiness. It’s all about bringing attitudinal change. Anyway, I am not leaving this subject but would like to dwell upon in greater details when we meet next”
Eva was in the kitchen extending helping hand to Aanya and also learning how to make Russian Salad. Anya asked Eva, "Where did you meet Smith?"
"Well it was in London, I saw him playing drums in a group. I don't know something happened to me and I decided to meet him. Later we were at a Coffee shop discussing about both of us. We joined this group "Hi! Buddies" floated by Roper.
"When you got engaged?" asked Aanya.
"Engaged, not yet but we live together"
"Oh, I see"
"Are you in relationship with him?"
"Yes I've fallen for him” narrating her own tale Eva continued, “You see when I was hardly nineteen; I met this guy Johnson Albert, son of a rich American, who came along with his parents to visit London. I only met three times before I met Smith and decided to go with him when I was 19”
Eva stopped as if she was scooping something from the back of her memory and then continued to say, “Those three times, I felt absolutely nothing. Between two of us it was an instant love. We shared common bed. But he was a novice and left me on high seas all the time. So I’d just avoided men like the plague. But one night on our recent trip to Hong Kong I got attracted to physical charm of Smith becoz of a shear zealous feeling as he was chasing madly a Chinese girl, whom I didn’t rate her anywhere near to me. That night Smith was awesome, very caring and adorable. I always felt as though I was on the edge of something mind-blowing. Since then, you know, we live together"
"Planning to marry him" asked Aanya.
"Not sure yet"
"Ok, ok. I got it. It's not unusual. It happens in Europe" said Aanya. Aanya smelled some onion burning that caught her attention and she asked help to be careful and directed her to never overheat onions and spices. Reverting to Eva, Anaya asked, "Where were we?"
Eva laughingly remarked, "You were in Europe and so was I"
“Oh yes”
“Pushp and you met during your college days at St. Petersburg, isn’t it?”
“He was then very young full of energy and aura of youth power. Not me alone, many a girls were after him. I succeeded in hooking him” digging in her past Anya replied.
“Your parents didn’t object” asked Eva.
“Yeah they did but I had my way”
“It is common worldwide. Parents are always worried for their young daughters more as compared to male child” said Eva, “Even in my case my parents were very upset. But I left home soon after my High School. Since then I am on my own”
“At that age everyone wants to run away. If you get a caring lover then it’s ok. I’m delighted to find a life partner like Pushp. My confidence grew after my visit and meeting my in-laws”
“They are indeed very nice people and rich too” said Eva.
Anaya had a soulful laugh and said, “Yes that’s right. Life needs money. For Russians it’s all the same more important as we aren’t that stinking rich like you guys from west”
Like that two ladies went on discussing their affairs and kept busy cooking and directing help to make sumptuous dinner. Put together Anaya and Eva prepared meals which were later enjoyed by 'Hi! Buddies' and Bishts.
